Helping our elderly clients live independently in their own homes is not just about helping them do things and caring for them. Sometimes it’s about making sure their home is suited to their needs.
Our expert homecarers do more than just look after our elderly clients and those with dementia. Part of our services is to make sure that their homes are adapted to meet their changing needs so they can go on living independently for as long as possible.
We carry out a thorough review when we first assess them, examining any health and safety issues for them (and our staff). And our expert home carers continue to monitor their needs and how they change during their routine visits.
If there are adaptations that we feel would make life easier for one of our clients, we discuss them with them and their relatives. It might be as simple as rearranging the furniture to make moving around easier for someone whose eyesight is failing, or we might recommend mobility aids or hoists if someone is having trouble moving or getting up.
Our care for our elderly clients and those with dementia in the Tunbridge Wells, Sevenoaks and Tonbridge areas includes monitoring their changing needs and recommending specialist equipment where we think it will help improve their quality of life.
