Great home care starts with great carers, so we’re always on the look-out for the very best carers to join our growing team of Care Heroes. It’s not always an easy job, but it is immensely rewarding. If you’re genuinely interested in making a difference to people and improving the quality of their lives, we’d love to hear from you.
Your personal qualities and motivation are far more important to us than your professional experience or qualifications. If you’re right for TerraBlu, we’ll give you great training and help you get the right qualifications. But to be a TerraBlu carer, you have to be genuinely interested in people, compassionate and caring; you have to be motivated by a desire to improve people’s lives; and you have to have the utmost respect and consideration for the people you will be looking after. You also have to be reliable, trustworthy, willing to work as part of a team and able to use your own initiative when necessary.
Relevant professional experience in the care sector is fantastic, but it’s not essential. You may have other relevant experience that has given you an insight into the positive difference that a great carer can make and that demonstrates your own abilities as a carer. For example, you may have spent time looking after your own elderly relatives, bringing up children or volunteering your time to help others. We do need you to be able to drive and to have your own transport.
Our staff are central to the great service we provide for our clients, so we invest in them from the start. We offer: excellent rates of pay (including travel time); flexible hours, including full-time and part-time roles; comprehensive training, with the opportunity to gain relevant professional qualifications; exceptional team and management support; loyalty and reward schemes; comprehensive benefits package.
If you think you can make a positive difference to people’s lives, and would like to find out more about a career with TerraBlu, our Care Director, Julia Mead, would love to hear from you.

"Staff had completed the training they needed to care for people in a safe way. They had the opportunity to receive further training specific to the needs of the people they supported… The additional training that was provided related to diabetes, dementia care, mental health and self-neglect."
“It’s important to be flexible and respond to changing circumstances. If a client needs additional care, you have to call the office and say: ‘I need to spend longer here, can you let my other clients know I am going to be late?’”
